Call for papers - 14th International Workshop on Spatial Econometrics and Statistics

The CRED (Paris Center for Law and Economics) and the University Panthéon-Assas Paris are happy to announce that they will host the 14th International Workshop on Spatial Econometrics and Statistics in their building close to the Panthéon, in the heart of Paris, on May 27-28, 2015.

The aim of this International Workshop is to promote and develop scientific exchanges between economists, econometricians, statisticians, mathematicians, urban planners and geographers on spatial econometrics and statistics and on their applications in several fields of economics. This International Workshop strongly encourages exchanges between senior and junior researchers as well as PhD students.

This 14th edition welcomes theoretical and empirical contributions on methodological advances in spatial econometrics and statistics. A particular emphasis will also be given to applied economics especially in the fields of urban and regional economics, agricultural economics, transport economics, labour economics, health economics, environmental economics and sustainable development, monetary, financial and banking economics.

The invited speakers of this International Workshop are:
- Professor Giuseppe ARBIA, Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy.
- Professor Bernard FINGLETON, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
- Professor Jesús MUR, University of Zaragoza, Spain.
- Professor Ingmar PRUCHA, University of Maryland, USA.

A special issue of Spatial Economic Analysis (SEA) will be published edited by Professors Bernard FINGLETON and Alain PIROTTE. The paper submission process will take place through the website of the SEA review. More information will become available in May 2015.

Submissions
Completed papers or long abstracts (at least 6 pages) should be submitted electronically in pdf format at the rubric "Submission" of this website. When you submit, please provide the name of the author who will present the paper. Please also note if you are a PhD student or young researcher (PhD defense in the last 5 years).
